On October 27, 2006 the plenary session of Comrat regional Organization of Veterans took place. The sitting was attended by the representatives of the Central Committee of Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova, the MP Vadim Mishin, and by the chairperson of the republican Organization of Veterans, Ala Mironic. During the sitting was examined the issue related to the elections for the position of Governor of Gagauzia. Consequently, the regional Council of the Organization of Veterans of Gagauzia adopted a call, addressed to the inhabitants of the region, to support the candidature of the incumbent Governor, Gheorghe Tabunscic (“News of Gagauzia”)

Dmitri Cimpoes has submitted to CEC of Gagauzia the necessary number of signatures in order to be registered as a candidate for the Governor post of Gagauzia. According to the law, CEC ceases to accept the necessary documents for the candidates’ registration 30 days before the election day. (BASA-press)
