CEC of Gagauzia has declined to register Dmitri Cissa as candidate of the Social Democracy Party for the Governor post of Gagauzia. According to the CEC decision (no.12/1), published on 7 November, the refusal is based on the ground that subscription signatures were not submitted with other documents necessary for the registration, that comes at odds with art. 5, par.1), letter b) of the Law on elections of the Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia (Gagauz-Yeri). Cissa is the third person who was not allowed to be registered by the Gagauz CEC. The deadline for the submission of registration requests has passed.
