The Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) supported Irina Vlah as a candidate for the Bashkan of the Gagauz autonomy. PSRM leader Igor Dodon announced about it at a briefing today, 3 February, in Chisinau. He mentioned that at today’s meeting of the Executive Political Committee of the Party of Socialists “it has been unanimously decided to support Irina Vlah, independent candidate for the position of Governor.”

In her turn, Irina Vlah said: “Today, we held quite constructive consultations together with the leadership of the Party of Socialists.” “I am grateful to the leadership of the Executive Political Committee of the PSRM for the decision to support me in elections. The support offered by the Party of Socialists gives me even more confidence in our victory in these elections and in our course towards being with Russia, just like the majority of the people of our autonomy desire. We will manage it, because everything is in our power!” Irina Vlah pointed out.

Serghei Buzadji, candidate for the Bashkan of Gagauzia, launched his electoral program, “Perspective”. The event took place today in Comrat. Serghei Buzadji mentioned that it is so far a preliminary version of the program, which had been formulated as a set of ideas. The second part is to be presented later, when all information and proposals from localities are gathered. The program is also to be supplemented by the members and supporters of his team.

The main provisions of Serghei Buzadji’s electoral program refer to increasing Gagauzia’s weight in the world, supporting the autonomy’s interests and Christian values, strengthening political forces, developing the economy and creating new jobs, ensuring social stability and protection of population, and improving the quality of education. // gagauz.md
