Ivan Burgudji proposed to verify the candidates' knowledge of the Gagauz language
Chairman of the judicial commission of the People’s Assembly Ivan Burgudji proposed to the Central Electoral Commission of Gagauzia to verify the candidates’ knowledge of the Gagauz language. The politician mentioned that according to article 45 of the law on the elections of the Governor of Gagauzia, candidates for this position must know the Gagauz language.
“The CEC had the obligation to verify it. And, given that the law does not provide for a verification procedure, the CEC, according to its general rules, had to stipulate it in its regulations,” Ivan Burgudji said. // gagauzinfo.md
