The MFA worried about Russia’s interference with the internal affairs of Moldova

Today, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Valeriu Chiveri has met Russian Ambassador Farit Mukhametshin. At the meeting, the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) expressed concern about the continued active involvement of the Russian Federation with the internal policy processes of our country.

Valeriu Chiveri drew the Russian diplomat’s attention to the inadmissibility of such actions, including the open support of an electoral contestant by Russia. In the opinion of the Moldovan MFA, it casts a shadow on the development of constructive relations between the two countries. // publika.md

Oleg Garizan suggests creation of a non-party “supra-political front” in the autonomy

Candidate for Bashkan Oleg Garizan suggests that a non-party “supra-political front” be created in the autonomy to solve the key problems of its citizens. He made the announcement on Friday at a press conference at the Infotag news agency.

“It is our duty to consolidate the society and to focus our activities onto the development of Gagauzia and Moldova. After fully unblocking trade relations with the Eurasian Union, we will strengthen links with Turkey and bring back the children and grandchildren that had left the autonomy. We must be united and particularly careful in our actions and conduct,” he said. // gagauzmedia.md

“Pro-Eurasia” demands electoral debates in the Gagauz language

The “Pro-Eurasia” Integration Center demands testing the candidates’ for Bashkan knowledge of the Gagauz language and conducting debates in this language on the channels of the public broadcaster Gagauziya Radiotelevizionu (GRT). It addressed this request to the Central Electoral Commission of Gagauzia for the Bashkan elections and to the board of GRT.

“We are concerned about the destiny of our future generation, for which we are all responsible. We have no right to prejudice the values of the Gagauz language. We are worried by the disregard of the Moldovan and Gagauz legislation, according to which the head of the autonomy can be a person who is a Republic of Moldova citizen that speaks the Gagauz language. We are also worried by the fact that there are no electoral activities in the Gagauz language,” the document says. // gagauzmedia.md
