Electoral program of the candidate for General Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca

Dear voters!
|
Each person needs a home, a job and a salary that would guarantee a decent living for him and his family; a good environment, order, and last but not least respect from those elected to public office. If I get elected as a Mayor I pledge to:
In Chisinau:
- Build housing for the social vulnerable groups and young couples;
- Develop mortgage system;
- Supply of hot water and heating as provided by the law;
- Communal services to be paid according to the amount consumed (not covering the loses in the system);
- Modernize the waste processing station;
- Clean and fast public transportation in good technical condition as provided by the law;
- Renovate roads according to the European standards;
- Lighten all the streets;
- Renovate and open new playing grounds for children, upkeep of the recreation areas;
- Extend the trolleybus routes so as to reduce air pollution;
- Build a new waste processing factory so as to avoid garbage storage around the city;
- Introduce a housing program with foreign investments.
In the towns and villages of the municipality:
- Assistance to young couples in building homes;
- Public transportation to circulate late at night, in the future extending trolleybus routes;
- Build water supply and sewage systems;
- Renovate country roads, streets in the localities and lighting them;
- Put in place garbage collection and storage systems;
- Provide necessary funds for schools, kindergartens; renovate sports grounds;
- Create favorable conditions for boosting the number of jobs, by developing small and middling business in rural area;
At the mayoralty:
- Guarantee transparency in the mayoralty activity;
- Guarantee immediate access to public information;
- Resolve in due time citizens’ complaints;
- Simplify licensing, authorizations and other administrative procedures;
- Un-politicized and transparent employment of staff;
- Promote young people, including to leading positions, encourage employment of graduates;
- Outsource public services to private business;
- Attract foreign investments, develop business environment so as to boost the number of jobs and raise salaries.
