The Central Election Commission (CEC) approved the model of ballot paper for new local elections of mayors of Chisinau and other several localities on November 27. According to the last modifications in the Electoral Code during the upcoming elections the ballot papers will have a detachable coupon.
CEC made public the draft of the Code of Conduct concerning the behaviour of electoral contestants and reflection in mass-media during the election campaign. The Code appeals to the moral virtues of the electoral contestants and mass-media aiming to diminish the use of administrative leverage and practice of the mutual defamation of contestants through mass-media.
The electoral bloc “PATRIA-РOДИНА-РАВНОПРАВИЕ” has unveiled its stance on the November 27 new elections and registration of the candidate of the electoral bloc to the Chisunau mayor-general post. According to the coordinator council of the bloc, the distrust of Chisinau residents towards state power including the municipal administration has suddenly declined.
The communication released on Thursday names the stance of the electoral bloc and candidate “For rights of Chisinau residents on basis of legality, order and social justice.” It also means the following:
- adoption of decisions of special interest by taking into account the opinion of Chisinau residents;
- personal responsibility of public functionaries for their arbitrariness;
- approval of a general development plan of the capital;
- elaboration and implementation of the municipal programme on use of labour force, creation of new jobs, organisation of public works for pay;
- attestation of jobs in municipal markets;
- settlement of the problem of social residences, accessibility of mortgage, renovation of old housing fund;
- optimisation of prices of services on basis of possibilities of population;
- strict record of administrated municipal patrimony;
- rise of municipal budget, etc.
