The Chisinau municipal electoral council has registered the 8th candidate for the elections of the general mayor of Chisinau — Mircea Rusu, representing the Alliance “Our Moldova”.

Anatol Soloviov renounced to participate in the elections of November 27. At the same time the municipal electoral council refused to register Mr. Valeriu Poia the candidature on the ground that the subscription list were filled in incorrectly. Poia declared that he will contest the municipal council decision in the court.

Thus, in the elections of the general mayor of Chisinau scheduled for November 27 will participate 7 candidates representing political parties and a single independent candidate — Vasile Ursu, the interim general mayor of Chisinau.
