The new elections for the position of the general mayor of Chisinau municipality were declared invalid due to the low participation rate of the voters (22.4% of total number of voters introduced in the rolls). Central Election Commission fixed the date for the repeated elections for December 11, 2005. The repeated elections will take place in the same conditions (the same voters' rolls, election commissions) and candidates (if they would not withdraw their candidatures).

The financial resources needed for the repeated elections in Chisianu and the second round of elections in six others localities counts 1.4 millions Lei ($1 ~ 13 Lei). The expenditures for the new elections held on November 27 counted 3 millions Lei.
