At the Plenary sitting of the Central Committee of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM), Igor Dodon was announced as candidate for the position of mayor of Chisinau municipality. PCRM has also designated 56 candidates for Chisinau Municipal Council, their order in the list is to be established later. PCRM leader, Vladimir Voronin, said he is confident that Igor Dodon could take 90% of the votes cast by Chisinau electors, and PCRM would have at least 30 municipal councilors in Chisinau.
