The CEC registered Iurie Leanca’s electoral bloc into the race for the general local elections
The “Platforma Populara Europeana din Moldova (European People’s Platform of Moldova) — Iurie Leanca” electoral bloc will participate in the general local elections of 14 June. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) made this decision following the examination of the application submitted by the representatives of the electoral bloc. Also, the CEC approved the decision on appointing Iulian Groza as the bloc’s representative with the right of consultative vote in the Commission and approved the electoral logo representing the words “Iurie Leanca” inside a circle made out of 12 stars.
We shall mention that the electoral bloc has been formed from the European People’s Party of Moldova chaired by Iurie Leanca, the Democratic Action Party chaired by Mihai Godea, the Liberal Reformatory Party chaired by Ion Hadarca, and the “Democratia Acasa (Democracy at Home)” Party chaired by Vasile Costiuc. The announcement about the creation of the electoral bloc had been made at a press conference on 15 April with the participation of all four political leaders.
