The Reformatory Communist Party excluded from the electoral race
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) excluded the Reformatory Communist Party (PCR) from the list of political parties that can participate in the general local elections of 14 June 2015.
The request came from the Ministry of Justice, which thus complied with a court ruling of 30 April and annulled the decision on the PCR registration. “District electoral councils shall return to the applicant the documents that the Reformatory Communist Party submitted in order to be registered for the local elections, without examining them,” CEC Secretary Andrei Volentir said.
Stefan Uritu, one of the members of the CEC, proposed the request of the Ministry of Justice to be ignored, as it is allegedly valid only for the following elections.
