The CEC warned four political parties about violations in financial reports

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) issued warnings to four political parties for violations in financial reports referring to the electoral campaign. According to the CEC, the Socialist Party of Moldova (PSM), the People’s Socialist Party (PPS) and the Party of Law and Justice (PLD) did not present information about the funding of their electoral campaigns. The Commission also issued a repeated warning to the Liberal Party (PL) for failure to present the information previously requested by the CEC. // Infotag

Persons with disabilities access to the electoral process assessed by the CEC

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) approved the form of the questionnaire for assessment of persons of disabilities access to the electoral process for the general local elections of 14 June 2015. The questionnaire contains questions about participation of persons with disabilities in voting, accessibility to voting places, as well as observations on the voting process.

Vitalie Marinuta runs as candidate for mayor of Holercani

Former Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta participates as independent candidate in the electoral race for mayor of his home village Holercani in Dubasari district. Marinuta said that he sees his main task in this electoral campaign in driving communists away from the village, because they make up about 70% of the local council. “We need a prosperous village, where everything will be created for people. First, I will improve it. It concerns street lighting, water supply system, sewage system. Holercani is a beautiful Moldovan village, and I’d like to spend my old age here,” the candidate said. // Infotag
