Following the March 6 elections, three contestants — Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (45.98% votes, 56 seats), Moldova Democrata Bloc (28.53%, 34 seats) and Christian Democratic People’s Party (9.07%, 11 seats) — passed the electoral threshold and will be represented in the Moldovan Parliament (16th Legislature). The other 20 contestants gained together 16.42% of the votes cast and these votes were proportionally distributed between the three winning parties, according to the D’Hondt formula. 64.84% of voters included in the voter rolls participated in elections.
