PL releases its electoral programme
The Liberal Party (PL) has released its electoral programme at a solemn ceremony with the participation of known cultural personalities, in particular, writer Vladimir Besleaga and famous composer Eugeniu Doga. PL chairman Mihai Ghimpu stressed strategic objectives of ruling PL: “The Liberal Party has two key goals: internally, to combat poverty, the No.1 problem of our citizens. Externally, to bring the Republic of Moldova into the European Union. Both objectives are achievable just by promoting a free economy under new laws capable to encourage the economic growth, attract foreign investments — an economy able to make and ensure equal conditions to all economic agents, assisted by an independent and uncorrupted justice, a fair governance of people who feel the pain of this land. The PL team has also had these pains in soul and it will help us get rid of the big trouble of Moldova called communism.” The PL leader added that the Liberal Party is the only force capable to defeat the Party of Communists and take over the rule after April 5, 2009.
