In connection with the situation caused by repeated failure of the “Elections” public automated information system on 30 November, the Central Electoral Commission declares that the “Elections” system is an intranet, and not internet, system. Thus, the first conclusions of specialists in the field of information technologies show that this failure was generated by the excessive load of the system with tasks unknown at the time, other than the ones specific to its basic function. According to the CEC, at the moment a group of experts is examining the reasons that might have led to the temporary malfunction of the system, which the Central Electoral Commission will make public later. In this context, the CEC assures that the situation created in the first half of the elections day, on 30 November, did not affect the elections process. // CEC
