Only four political parties in Moldova have benefited from state subsidies, while other parties show lack of interest. This is the opinion of the chair of the Central Electoral Commission, Alina Russu. According to her, only PLDM, PL, PDM and PSRM have opened special bank accounts for budgetary subsidies.

In 2015 the Parliament passed the Law on financing political parties. Thus, for 2016 the CEC provided funding in the amount of MDL 41 million, 50 percent of which will be offered to parties based on performance in parliamentary elections and 50 percent based on performance in local elections. // deschide.md

Audiovisual Coordinating Council approved 120 internal regulations on electoral coverage in the presidential elections of October, 2016 by the broadcasting institutions in Moldova. 103 broadcasters will cover the campaign (44 radio stations and 59 TV stations).
