Valeriu Ghiletchi filed a complaint to CC on quota of signatures for presidential elections
Valeriu Ghiletchi registered a complaint with the Constitutional Court (CC) on the collection of signatures in support of a candidate for presidential elections. The politician asked the CC to check the constitutionality of the mandatory quota of 600 signatures to be collected from 18 administrative units imposed by the new Electoral Code, and the need of local municipalities stamp on petitions. “Personally, I consider these rules a barrier in the process of collecting signatures and irrelevant as long as the CEC has access to the electronic register of voters and may verify the identity of each signatory. Discriminatory rules are applied both for candidates and for thousands of Moldovan citizens living in Transnistria or those who can not travel to their home towns for voting”, said Ghiletchi on his Facebook page.

Even though Hungary is a member of the European Union it has a strong position when it comes to the interests of the country and citizens. PSRM shares the same views when fighting for the integrity, statehood and national identity of Moldova”, Igor Dodon wrote on his Facebook page.
