CEC: voters without residence and domicile will be able to vote on October 30, 2016
Central Election Commission (CEC) approved a ruling according to which voters who do not have domicile or residence in Moldova due to withdrawal / cancellation or expiration, including on October 30, 2016 will be able to vote at the polling station located at their last place of residence or domicile. According to the law, voters who do not have a registered domicile or residence and can not prove it, will vote at any polling station in Moldova. However they will sign a declaration that they would refrain from multiple voting on E-day. These voters will be verified in the State Automated Information System “Elections”, to confirm their participation in elections and will be included in the supplementary list, with the remark “no registered domicile or residence”. According to the State Register of Population, the number of citizens without registered residence or domicile is 63,667.
Maia Sandu accuses Democratic Party of bullying mayors
