Central Election Commission (CEC) has issued a press release with regard to the photos published on social networks showing a ballot carrying the stamped mark “VOTED” next to the socialist presidential candidate Igor Dodon. According to CEC, the information in the published pictures indicates that the ballot belongs to a polling station opened in Kursk, Russian Federation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration informed CEC that the picture is a fake, given the fact that until that moment, the electoral documents, including the ballots were not opened by the members of the mentioned electoral bureau.

Central Election Commission took note of the financial reports submitted by the electoral candidates with regard to the collected funds and incurred expenditures during the presidential elections campaign. The PDM presidential candidate Marian Lupu has the highest campaign spending of 24,250,150 million lei. On the second place is the presidential candidate of “Our Party” Dumitru Ciubasenco, who spent 9,053,614 lei, followed by the Socialists’ leader, Igor Dodon, with 6,437,071 lei. // deschide.md

On the election day of October 30, people with limited mobility, can go to polling stations using the free services of the social taxi. This is an initiative of several public associations that will provide people with disabilities or with limited mobility a dedicated car that can fit up to eight people. In order to be able to use this service, people with disabilities must reserve a place by calling: 022–661–393 or 067 300 450, between 9.00 and 17:00 at least one hour before the scheduled time of travel.
