Vox Populi opinion poll estimates Igor Dodon and Maia Sandu chances in election run-off
According to data provided by the “Vox Populi — November 2016” opinion poll, presented on Monday, November 7th, by the Association of Sociologists, 49.8% of the respondents stated that in the second round they will vote for the Socialist Party leader Igor Dodon and 39.7% of respondents for Maia Sandu the leader of “Action and Solidarity Party”. In the same time 5.2% of respondents do not know whom to vote for, and 5.3% will not vote. If referring to citizens who will participate in the second round and who were know their choice, 55.6% would vote for Igor Dodon and 44.4% for Maia Sandu. The survey was conducted in the period of November 1 to 5, on a sample of 1075 respondents. The margin of error is 3%. // IPN
“Parliament 90” and Party “The Right” urges voters to support the common candidate
At a press conference, members of the public association “Parliament 90” called citizens of all ages, regardless of ethnicity, to be active and get out annd vote in the November 13 elections in order to support presidential candidate Maia Sandu.
In the same time, Party “the Right” urged voters to vote against the pro-Russian candidate Igor Dodon, in order to thus give a chance to Maia Sandu the common candidate of the center-right opposition.

Maia Sandu to file a complaint with CEC against defamatory material distributed by Igor Dodon
Presidential candidate Maia Sandu, responded to the investigation published by anticoruptie.md, which has shown the source of the leaflets with denigrating information in her address. PAS leader says she will file a complaint to the CEC in this regard. “These leaflets have flooded Moldova. Journalists demonstrated that Dodon is linked to their production. Today we will file a complaint with CEC with regard to socialists failure to declare expenditure for publication of this dirty leaflet,” said Maia Sandu on her Facebook page.
Nicolae Timofti points out that electoral statements should not damage relations with neighbors
In an interview with Info-Prim Neo, President Nicolae Timofti said that electoral campaign statements should not damage in any way the good relations, friendship and cooperation with our neighbors — Romania and Ukraine, citizens should not pay for the hasty irresponsible electoral statements of electoral competitors. Timofti said that the electoral debates between candidates sometimes go beyond not just the ethical limits, but can distort the diplomatic relations. // IPN
