The deadline for parties’ registration as contesters in referendum expired
On August 5 CEC registered the last 5 parties which will participate in the referendum of September 5. The Party “United Moldova” and Centrist Union were registered as contesters which plead “for” amending Constitution, article 78. The “Moldovan Patriots” Party pleads “against” this amendment. Social Democratic Party called the population boycotting referendum, and the Socialist Party has not decided yet which way to follow.
