SCJ supports PNL and operates non-stop

Supreme Court of Justice upheld the decision of the Court of Appeal that supported the National Liberal Party in the trial on broadcasting a spot in the campaign for the referendum of September 5. Appeals filed in this regard by the Central Electoral Commission and PCRM representative were rejected.

According to the indications made by the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Chairman of the SCJ Civil and Administrative Board, the contestations from electoral competitors made during the free days from 27 to 31.08.2010 shall be reviewed as set out by law, and the responsible judges were appointed in this respect. Under the legislation, complaints made during the electoral period shall be considered within 3 calendar days from filing, and no later than the Election Day.

Interim President urges students to participate in referendum

Interim President of the Republic of Moldova has participated today in the inauguration ceremony of the academic study year at the Technical University of Moldova. Addressing the young students, the head of state urged them to be courageous and to say openly how the things are to those in power, including when they promote wrong policies. Mihai Ghimpu urged students to participate in referendum of September 5, reminding that “success of reforms initiated by European Integration Alliance, achieving the objectives that will make possible the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the great European family” depend on everyone’s civil stand.
