Increasing the Efficiency and Accountability of the Public Policy Process through Independent Policy Monitoring and Analysis

The project targets policy makers, political parties, elected officials, and mass media. These will envisage weekly political, legislative and economic comments and a bi-weekly e-journal that would help enhance the impact and visibility of the project activities as a whole. The expected outcomes of these activities are: a more transparent political, legislative and economic decision-making and policy-making processes; enhanced awareness and debate of the policy making process and of existing alternative policy solutions. The project is supported by National Endowment for Democracy.

Promoting participatory democracy by informing and motivating citizens

The project is aimed at fostering a civic attitude among young voters especially in the rural communities of the Republic of Moldova. This goal is to be achieved by providing young voters in rural communities with unbiased and updated information on political and electoral developments and securing the future of democracy by educating and involving youth in the electoral process. As part of the project an off-line user friendly and appealing to youth version of the www.e-democracy.md website will be developed and installed in Community Centers of Access to Information and Training and other similar centers. Also, a Virtual School of the Young Voter aimed at educating would-be and first time voters on the importance of being informed citizens, the responsibility of voting to sustain democracy and building good citizenship skills, shall be developed. The project is supported by Soros-Moldova Foundation.
