The project "Parliament Accountable to People" is a joint initiative of CReDO and ADEPT. The project aims to promote more open and accountable legislative body, by lobbying for more inclusive/ participatory decision-making. It provides critical awareness of the parliamentarians of the more efficient, inclusive, transparent and accountable policy-making process and facilitates the formation of the respective institutional practices. The project is funded by the US Embassy to Moldova.
The project aims to contribute to free and fair elections in the Republic of Moldova by improving the legal framework in the field. It seeks to provide a critical analysis of impediments to free and fair elections and recommend long term goals toward the improvement of Moldova' election process and concrete actions - steps which can be taken by legislators, election authorities, and the NGO community in strengthening democratic institutions in Moldova. The project is supported by the Eurasia Foundation.
The project targets policy makers, political parties, elected officials, and mass media. These will envisage weekly political, legislative and economic comments and a bi-weekly e-journal that would help enhance the impact and visibility of the project activities as a whole. The expected outcomes of these activities are: a more transparent political, legislative and economic decision-making and policy-making processes; enhanced awareness and debate of the policy making process and of existing alternative policy solutions. The project is supported by National Endowment for Democracy.
In autumn 2005 ADEPT launched the fifth edition of the Leadership School aimed at enhancing the knowledge and understanding by Republic of Moldova's young party leaders of electoral and political processes, as a necessary pre-requisite for their engagement in the overall electoral process. The fifth edition is supported by Royal Netherlands Embassy.

The project aimed at contributing to free and fair elections in the Republic of Moldova. The project seeks to contribute to free and fair elections in Moldova by facilitating communication and information exchanges between political parties, the electorate, NGOs and civil society, and mass-media, without seeking to influence the result of the election. Facilitation of information exchanges as well as monitoring of the parliamentary elections is done by means of www.elections2005.md web page.
The web page features electoral law, CEC resolutions on parliamentary elections, comprehensive data on each electoral contestant - platform, position on key issues, statements, declarations, press releases, electoral ads - analysis and commentaries, and monitoring reports. The web page also enables on-line debates on issues of public interest and allows users to ask election related questions. Those activities would ultimately enable Moldovan voters to make an informed choice in elections. The page also covered elections to Chisinau mayoralty of July 2005. The project was funded by the British Embassy to Chisinau.
